Introducing to you, my personal Cycplus AS2 Pro Max vs miniFumpa Pump comparison. When it comes to cycling, having the right equipment can make all the difference. This is especially true during long rides like ultra rides and cycling gran fondos. One piece of equipment that is often overlooked but crucial is the electric bike pump. It’s a lifesaver when you’re miles from the nearest bike shop and need to get back on the road quickly. As an avid cyclist, I’ve come to rely on my electric pump not just for convenience. It is an essential part of my standard gear during long cycling adventures.
In the world of electric bike pumps, two models stand out: the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max and the miniFumpa Pump. Both are designed to offer cyclists a compact, efficient solution to inflating tires on the go, but they have their differences. Let’s dive into a full comparison of these two pumps, with a focus on why the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max comes out on top.
Cycplus AS2 Pro Max vs miniFumpa Pump full feature comparison
Portability and Design
The Cycplus AS2 Pro Max is slightly larger than the miniFumpa, but both are designed with portability in mind. The AS2 Pro Max measures 81x60x32mm and weighs 205g, making it easy to carry in a saddle bag or pocket. The miniFumpa is known for its small size (68x32x56mm) and light weight, coming in at 190g, which is also quite portable.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is a significant factor for any portable device. The AS2 Pro Max boasts a 420mAh battery, capable of inflating four to five 700x25mm tires from 0 to 80 PSI on a single charge. The miniFumpa can inflate two tires on one charge. This is less than the AS2 Pro Max, but still sufficient for most needs. This is maybe the main reason why I prefer the Cycplus. I like a bit more peace of mind, especially for my long rides. The Cycplus electric bike pump allows you to inflate a road bike tire 4 times with one charge. I have had a few instances whereby I had an early flat tire. In that case practically nothing can go wrong anymore when you have the MiniFumpa pump with you.
It takes both the Cycplus and miniFumpa one hour to fully charge.
Performance and Features
When it comes to inflating tires, the AS2 Pro Max has a maximum pressure of 120 PSI. This matches the miniFumpa’s capabilities. However, the AS2 Pro Max includes a digital display with buttons for setting the target pressure, a feature the miniFumpa lacks. This allows for more precise inflation and ease of use.
Ease of Use
The AS2 Pro Max’s user-friendly interface, with its LED display and real-time pressure read-out, makes it simple to select the desired pressure and monitor the inflation process. The miniFumpa, while efficient, does not provide a pressure read-out. This can be a drawback for those who prefer to have more control over their tire inflation.
The inclusion of a silicone cover with the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max is a thoughtful detail that addresses both safety and durability concerns. When inflating tires, electric pumps can indeed become quite hot. In that case the silicone cover not only provides a protective barrier against the heat but also ensures a better grip, reducing the risk of accidental drops. However, if a drop does occur, the silicone acts as a shock absorber, potentially saving the device from damage.
On the other hand, the miniFumpa Pump, while compact and efficient, lacks this protective feature. This means users need to be extra cautious during operation and handling. The absence of a silicone cover could be a drawback for those who prioritize the longevity and resilience of their equipment. This is true especially when used frequently or in rugged conditions. The Cycplus’s silicone cover may seem like a minor addition. For me nevertheless it significantly enhances my personal user experience by merging functionality with an added layer of security and protection.
Price
Both electric bike pumps come at around 130 euros so the price is no differentiator for me.

Cycplus AS2 Pro Max vs miniFumpa Pump conclusion
After comparing the features of both the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max and the miniFumpa Pump, it’s clear that the AS2 Pro Max offers a few more advantages. Especially when I consider its display, longer battery life and silicone cover. These features contribute to its overall convenience and reliability, making the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max the winner in this comparison.
For cyclists like myself, who often embark on ultra rides and participate in cycling gran fondos, an electric pump is not just a tool. It is a companion that provides peace of mind. When I know that I have a reliable and efficient way to maintain tire pressure, this gives me the confidence to focus on the ride and enjoy the journey. The Cycplus AS2 Pro Max, with its superior features and performance, has earned its place as a crucial part of my standard equipment during long cycling rides. It’s not just about getting from point A to point B. It is about ensuring the journey is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The right electric pump can make all the difference, and for me, the Cycplus AS2 Pro Max is that pump.
